The Canine Advocacy teams have been providing community support over the last 5 years to our friends in Squirrel Hill every October. In 2018 there was a very bad and scary attack that happened in Squirrel Hill. Many people were scared, lots of people were hurt, and 11 people lost their lives.
Every year our Canine Teams and our friends from the 10.27 Healing Partnership and Jewish Family and Community Services set up a tent and are available for people to talk, interact with a canine advocate or paint a rock. All of these things can make people feel better when they are sad.
Here are some pictures from this year’s event.

We will continue to support our friends for as long as they need us.
