Pennsylvania Crime Victims Act of Nov.24, 1998, P.L. 882, No.111 Cl. 44 requires that crime victims receive status notifications regarding an offender’s incarceration. The Allegheny County Jail contracts with Center for Victims to provide  these required notifications to crime victims in a victim centered manner. Data, provided by the Allegheny County Jail to Center for Victims, ensures users of the app have access to the status of the intake steps for defendants at the Allegheny County Jail and prompt notification of their release.  Center for Victims offers comprehensive services to assist victims impacted by crime with navigating government programs. While we assist crime victims with government services, we are an independent, non-governmental organization. Center for Victims does not operate as a government entity.  By using this App, users acknowledge that CV is not responsible for errors, delays, or omissions in the information provided, nor for any consequences resulting from reliance on the notifications. By contract, Center for Victims acts solely as a conduit between the Allegheny County Jail and crime victims. This App is intended as a supplementary tool and should not replace direct communication with law enforcement, legal professionals, or victim advocacy services.
