We have a new addition to the team! We would like to introduce our Newest Canine Advocate Intern Macaw, we call him Macmac. He is an 8 month old German Shepherd Dog. He has been with us for the past 6 months learning all the things he needs to know to be a good Canine Advocate. Macmac definitely has the knack for being a Canine Advocate – He is the great, great, great grandnephew to our founding Canine Advocate Gryffin! Like all of our Canine Advocates Macmac will be doing a lot of learning and taking a lot of tests during his internship to determine if he is a good enough dog to join our team. Follow along as we follow Macmac as he learns and grows!

This month we got to join Darnell, Tara, Neoshe and Emma of the Center for Victims Community Outreach and Intervention team for two community outreach events. Our combined teams visited with the students and staff of Pittsburgh Oliver Citywide Academy. We had fun showing off our tricks and talking with the kids and teachers.

Both the Canine Teams and the Community Outreach team got to share information about all of Center for Victims programs and ways we can help them.
